POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general direction of the VP ? Information Technology, the Director, Product Strategy will play a key role within the organization from a people management and thought leadership perspective. He/She leads the development, implementation and coordination of strategies and efforts in order to define requirements for Lash Group?s information technology products and services.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gathering competitive intelligence and staying aware of market trends.
Maintaining a current and accurate understanding of client needs.
Managing and prioritizing requests for product enhancements.
Clarifying and consolidating requests for new functionality into an Enterprise Solution.
Establishing a robust process for defining priorities around innovation and ensuring there are realistic plans and dates for implementation.
Understanding the Lash Business model and being able to articulate how our product innovation strategy impacts or supports that model.
Developing and owning the Innovation Road Map.
Ensuring our Innovation Road Map is based on a strong business case.
Collaborating with NBD at Lash Group and other ABSG companies.
Influencing contract language and contract development surrounding our technology products.
Producing marketing materials for our products.
Coordinating internal training surrounding new product features.
Educating the organization about the benefits of new product features.
Acting as a key driver in the documentation and marketing of our product capabilities.
Hiring, training, mentoring and managing a team of product experts.
Performs related duties #LI-LG1 Qualifications: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations obtained through completion of a four year bachelor?s degree program; MS or MBA preferred. Normally requires a minimum of six (6) years related and progressively responsible experience, including a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years management experience.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to build and manage effective relationships.
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated success in planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced organization.
Excellent integration, implementation and management skills.
Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
Strong presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate with customers, associates and management.
Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Thorough knowledge of Lash Group products, programs and services.
Ability to direct the activities of others in such activities including training, guiding, developing and managing.
