Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances and thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
  • Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing and occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching/stooping.
  • Full use of upper extremities in the manipulation of materials used in the production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse workers, drivers, and distribution staff.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, motivating staff to achieve performance targets.
  • Lead daily operations within the warehouse.
  • Promote hands-on, high involvement approaches to problem-solving.
  • Track daily performance and present results during morning GEMBA walks.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by supporting/leading safety programs.
  • Drive out waste through Lean methodology.
  • Prepare performance reports and maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments.
