About The Position

The Dant Clayton Document Control Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our quality management system(QMS) meets or exceeds our customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality & change control processes with a commitment to maintain high standards for process/product quality and consistency. This role will have ownership and responsibility of document control for both our Aluminum and Steel Plants and will work closely with detailing, finance, manufacturing, and purchasing along with other departments, as needed.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
  • AS Degree in quality assurance, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, prior relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of AISC 270-20 and ISO 9001:2015 standards, preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products such as Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience leading a change control process.
  • Mechanical aptitude and common sense.
  • Strong Communication skills required.
  • Must be collaborative with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to read and write in English. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality team on document control process for procedures, work instructions, quality alerts, critical to quality forms, etc.
  • Owner of the Document Control process, Index, and updates.
  • Responsible for reviewing and archiving documentation and records.
  • Owner and facilitator of the process audit program.
  • Define and maintain the Change Control process.
  • Provide documentation support for all departments within Dant Clayton, including processes, forms, work instructions, templates, etc.
  • Conduct and document QMS audits for process quality, including internal, layered audits, and CA verification audits.
  • This position is expected to cross-train with the quality team to support product audits and project needs.
  • Participate and facilitate in Corrective/Preventive Action plans.
  • Team with manufacturing and HR to update and maintain the training program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address process concerns and drive continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate ISO 9001 certification program and support as necessary for the AISC Steel shop program.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
