About the position

The position is for a 1.0 FTE Elementary Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at Three Forks Elementary School. The successful candidate will teach the appropriate grade-level/subject area curriculum as outlined by the school through a partnership with the Montana Educational Consortium. The role requires providing 21st-century educational pedagogy using effective lesson/unit plan development and strategies with clearly defined learning targets/objectives. The candidate will also need to establish positive relationships with colleagues and guardians of students, support Special Education students by implementing IEP and 504 plans, and participate in school and district professional development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches the appropriate grade-level/subject area curriculum as outlined by Three Forks Elementary School.
  • Provides 21st-century educational pedagogy using effective lesson/unit plan development and strategies.
  • Develops a detailed effective classroom management plan, safety procedures, and behavior expectations.
  • Works creatively and cooperatively with colleagues and guardians of students.
  • Participates in school and district professional development activities.
  • Attends building and district meetings as required.
  • Supports Special Education students by implementing IEP and 504 plans.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the building Principal, including teacher duties, school-wide projects, and parent-teacher conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
  • State of Montana Educator license with appropriate library endorsement(s).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MBI in the elementary setting.
  • Effective use of 21st-century educational technology in classes to meet common core standards.
