About the position

We are seeking an Email Marketing Manager to own the strategy, execution, and optimization of our email and lifecycle marketing programs. This role is essential to driving user engagement, nurturing leads, increasing customer retention, and maximizing lifetime value. We operate in the highly regulated insurance industry where following state and federal laws is paramount to success. You'll work cross-functionally with content, product, design, and data teams to deliver personalized, high-converting email experiences that align with our brand and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the email marketing efforts across our B2B and B2C channels, including newsletters, nurture campaigns, onboarding flows, promotional, and transactional emails.
  • Design and optimize lifecycle journeys across the customer funnel from lead nurturing to retention and re-engagement.
  • Use customer data and behavioral signals to segment audiences and deliver targeted messaging.
  • Conduct regular A/B tests on subject lines, content, send times, and layouts to improve open rates, CTRs, and conversion.
  • Track KPIs and report on campaign performance; use insights to refine strategy and improve ROI.
  • Ensure all email campaigns comply with legal regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.) and best practices.
  • Partner with copywriters, designers, CRM engineers, and marketing stakeholders to deliver consistent, branded messaging across channels.
  • Identify new opportunities for upsells, cross-sells, and renewals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in email or lifecycle marketing, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or insurtech.
  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms and ESPs - Ideally a HubSpot expert.
  • Experience creating automated journeys, trigger-based campaigns, and personalized content.
  • Deep understanding of email marketing metrics and optimization techniques.
  • Engaging and compelling copywriting skills with a strong eye for detail.
  • Comfortable with HTML/CSS for email formatting and troubleshooting.
  • Analytical mindset, breaking down large data and sifting the noise from the impact.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing tools and conversion rate optimization frameworks.
  • Knowledge of customer data platforms (CDPs) and integrations with email platforms.
  • Strong creative skills: understanding of design principles, creating briefs and guidance for designers.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to uncover untapped revenue potential.
  • People-facing customer service: joining client calls to understand their needs.

Benefits

  • Culture: work with passionate, innovative professionals who love what they do.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance to keep you healthy and covered.
  • FSA and HSA for added financial flexibility.
  • Life Insurance, AD&D, STD, and LTD to protect you and your loved ones.
  • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan to help you build a secure future.
  • Casual Time Off Policy: take the time you need to recharge.
  • 13 Paid Holidays per year to celebrate and relax.
