We are seeking a detail-oriented, data-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join our growing Marketing team. This role presents a high-impact opportunity to shape our email marketing efforts and directly influence key business outcomes, including patient acquisition and retention, lifetime value, and overall patient experience. As our Email Marketing Specialist, you will take ownership of email campaign development, execution, and optimization. Your work will help drive meaningful engagement, nurture leads, and create better patient journeys through thoughtful communication and data-backed strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, build, and deploy email marketing campaigns including newsletters, promotional sends, and lifecycle automations.
  • Create and manage segmented lists, dynamic content blocks, and personalized journeys to enhance relevance and performance.
  • Utilize A/B testing to continuously optimize campaign subject lines, content, send times, and CTAs.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and generate actionable insights to improve future campaigns.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Product, and Brand Marketing to align email marketing initiatives with business goals.
  • Maintain high standards of email development, including responsive design using HTML and CSS, and ensure deliverability best practices.
  • Leverage Iterable and other marketing technologies to manage workflows, templates (Handlebars), and testing environments.
  • May travel to other CLS clinics as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing.
  • Experience with Iterable or a similar cross-channel marketing automation platform (Iterable preferred).
  • Strong understanding of email strategy, segmentation, and lifecycle automation.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS for responsive email design.
  • Familiarity with Handlebars or other template languages.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and translate insights into action.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Experience with QA and email testing tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid) is a plus.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or patient-facing industry.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements related to email marketing (e.g., HIPAA, CAN-SPAM).
