About the position

The Developer Marketing, Technology and Education (MET) team in the Amazon Devices organization is looking for a marketing manager to help drive awareness and adoption of our products and services among developers through building deep connections with our developer community. Our developers create engaging experiences for customers on Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablets, Amazon Appstore for Android, and Alexa enabled voice skills. Our mission is to ensure we are providing engaging and user-friendly content to our developers while driving increased adoption. As the Engagement Marketing Manager, you will own strategic engagement initiatives, including the social channels, marketing planning to support event sponsorships, webinars, podcasts, and other marketing channels. You will be the bridge between Amazon Devices, our developers, and the broader build community, creating opportunities for meaningful connection, developer advocacy, and engagement to gather insights to help champion better products for our end customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution, management, and monitoring of social media channels
  • Develop and implement platform-specific strategies, guiding the creation of impactful and engaging content designed to drive engagement and performance metrics
  • Partner with internal teams to implement engaging content and create reporting to measure developer engagement and proposals for improving the developer experience
  • Plan, develop and roll out digital campaigns with use of multiple-channels including but not limited to paid media, email, website, social channels
  • Utilize performance insights to inform data-driven decisions, shaping editorial calendars, identifying emerging content formats, and creating a clear strategic roadmap that aligns social media efforts with broader business objectives
  • Tracks social and community engagement trends and layers into overall strategy

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
  • Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
  • Ability to coordinate fast-paced projects across functional teams
  • Success in managing complex and multi-faceted marketing programs with the ability to drive projects through to completion
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands-on experience managing social platforms and content planning
  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful engagement programs, from in-person events to digital campaigns
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling content and messaging
  • Ability to thrive under ambiguous and shifting priorities in a high-growth environment
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Passionate about building relationships and fostering community connections
  • Creative thinker who brings fresh ideas to drive engagement and innovation
