About the position

As an Event Marketing Manager at AMD, you will be instrumental in driving high-impact, large-scale events that align with and advance strategic objectives. This role involves overseeing major corporate events, conferences, and tradeshows, where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, executive leadership, and external partners, to deliver exceptional experiences for both internal and external stakeholders. You will bring creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to ensure flawless execution, while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position may require up to 40% travel and flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, during peak periods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of corporate events, including conferences, product launches, tradeshows, and internal events.
  • Oversee events from venue meetings to setup and onsite logistics execution, ensuring flawless execution and a positive attendee experience.
  • Provide high-touch, personalized services for AMD's C-suite executives during events.
  • Manage logistics with vendors, ensuring smooth event operations.
  • Manage detailed event budgets, monitor financial transactions, and reconcile invoices to ensure events stay within budget.
  • Utilize Cvent event management software for planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement effective event processes, working with leaders across all levels to drive cross-functional initiatives and propose improvements.
  • Conduct surveys to assess event success, analyze feedback, and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and alignment with AMD's branding and marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in event management, with a focus on large-scale corporate events.
  • Proven experience managing events within tight timelines and budgets.
  • Proficiency in Cvent and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing vendor relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
