About the position

Resmed’s Experience Marketing team is seeking an Advanced Specialist with a passion for creating compelling, business-driving events and experiences. This role will lead the execution of strategic trade shows, executive events, and customer engagement experiences across the Americas region. We’re looking for an experienced events professional who combines creative thinking, operational rigor, and stakeholder savvy. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in B2B events, ideally in the medical device or healthcare space, and thrive in environments that demand autonomy, agility, and precision. You’ll be a strategic contributor in how Resmed shows up in the market—bringing our brand to life through experiences that engage customers, support growth, and elevate our leadership in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a lead planner for Resmed North America, acting as the go-to expert for cross-functional teams and vertical stakeholders.
  • Translate business goals into impactful event strategies, ensuring each experience aligns with Resmed’s brand, objectives, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, sales, product, and medical affairs to craft event narratives, audience experiences, and content strategy.
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of trade shows, executive events, and special programs, including site selection, vendor coordination, budget management, staffing plans, production schedules, and onsite execution.
  • Oversee contract negotiation, compliance, and documentation in partnership with legal, procurement, and finance.
  • Manage all logistics for events including AV, exhibit production, lead capture, registration, housing, travel, shipping, food & beverage, and branded collateral.
  • Track and analyze event KPIs and ROI metrics to inform future improvements and influence marketing strategy.
  • Own post-event recaps, cross-functional debriefs, and continuous improvement planning.
  • Maintain and enhance internal tools such as event calendars, timelines, and playbooks.
  • Lead assigned workstreams within Resmed’s annual flagship user conference (1,200+ attendees), such as AV, logistics, vendor operations, or food & beverage.
  • Support strategic initiatives and internal brand experiences as needed.
  • Act as a resource for regional trade shows including toolkit management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of event marketing or experiential marketing experience, with a strong preference for candidates with healthcare, medical device, or other regulated industry backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple large-scale, high-profile events with strategic impact, including trade shows.
  • Expert-level project management and organizational skills; adept at managing complex timelines, budgets, and vendor partnerships.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Proven success in driving post-event sales enablement or customer engagement outcomes.
  • Effective working both autonomously and in cross-functional, collaborative environments.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically (approximately 25–30%).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with event technology platforms (registration, CRM, project management).

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, vision, dental, and life insurance.
  • AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • Sleep care management.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA).
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • Commuter benefits.
  • 401(k).
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Tuition assistance.
  • Fifteen days Paid Time Off (PTO) in the first year of employment.
  • Eleven paid holidays plus three floating days.
  • Fourteen weeks of primary caregiver or two weeks of secondary caregiver leave when welcoming new family members.
