Facilities & Events Staff - Part-Time

About the position

The Boulder JCC is looking for passionate individuals who want to create positive change in the local community. The Facilities Staff will play a crucial role in event setup, building maintenance, and providing a welcoming presence for all visitors. This position requires both independent and collaborative work, with a focus on organization, detail orientation, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, restocking of supplies, landscaping, and event setup/teardown as needed
• Interface with organizations using Boulder JCC space to assure appropriate plans for set-up and clean up are in place
• Provide assistance to the Event and Rental Director and Facilities Director leading up to and during public and private special events
• Supervise caterers and other service staff
• Proactively check in with Facilities team about what needs to be done
• Serve as a point of contact and ensure a warm, welcoming, and helpful experience for community members, event rentals, and staff
• Continually optimize processes, including identifying best practices, and working efficiently

Requirements

• Some experience and/or a strong desire to learn skills in general maintenance and landscaping
• Demonstrated customer-service orientation; welcoming, positive attitude and capacity to adapt
• Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
• Enjoy being helpful and supporting a wide variety of events
• Clear, professional, and effective written and verbal communications
• Excellent organization and attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
