At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a small team you'll play a meaningful role in the architecture, development, integration and verification/validation of all the software for the New Glenn rocket system. This is a very hands-on role where your job will evolve alongside the lifecycle of the software used both on and off the vehicle. We're looking for a passionate engineer, a leader with excellent technical and communication skills with experience in Model Based Design (MBD) methodologies and methods for verifying and validating safety critical software. You'll be able to influence system-level aspects of the software design, ensuring that we're building a streamlined and verifiable software solution. A successful candidate has the skills to work at a system level as well as dive into technical areas to resolve issues as they arise. Launch vehicles today are systems of software systems, and this role is pivotal in qualifying that system for flight.
