About the position
Responsible for contacting producers on marketing strategies, through fee based programs, branch contacts, and customer lists, and to originate grain for Producer Ag.
Responsibilities
- Contact key Producer Ag customers on a regular basis.
- Develop relationships with producers.
- Develop and execute a profitable risk management fee based farm marketing programs with producers.
- Work with merchandising staff, producers, and branch personnel on grain pools and marketing agreement programs.
- Train the point person program participants in your territory on producer marketing programs.
- Communicate record keeping needs to origination data entry person.
Requirements
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication.
- Computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Frequently lift or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds.
- Vision abilities required are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
