The Bay Colony Beach Club is looking for a talented Grill/Line Cook to join our team. The Grill/Line Cook will be primarily cooking on the grill, braising and grilling meat, cooking fish, vegetables, and other types of food as needed. This position involves assisting in the ingredient preparation process, which can include slicing, cutting, and tenderizing meat, vegetables, and other ingredients. The cook will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other miscellaneous food items in a restaurant. Additionally, the cook prepares cold foods, cold sauces, cheeses, fruits, compotes, hot & cold snacks, and salads as directed. The role also includes cleaning, peeling, and cutting kitchen prep items and ensuring sufficient prep levels are maintained throughout the day. The cook is responsible for preparing hot foods and must prepare all food items in accordance with established recipe and quality standards in a timely manner. Other duties include performing the opening and closing duties of the kitchen, maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen work stations, tools, equipment, and supplies, and ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed. Communication with Kitchen Management regarding food shortages, quality of product, and technical deficiencies is also essential. The cook ensures that all stores and fridges are organized and sets up, maintains, and breaks down the cooking line, along with any other duties as assigned.
