About the position

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head of Marketing and Communications to lead a division contributing directly to increasing visitor numbers, expanding stakeholder engagement and driving income generation. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing an impactful marketing and communications strategy, progressing the Fundraising Road Map, developing our brand and ensuring effective communication with key target audiences, and creating inspiring messages and content that encourage action and support from targeted audiences, broadening corporate, individual, and public engagement.

Requirements

  • Experience leading a marketing, communications, and fundraising team to deliver against ambitious targets and objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills and successful experience with a range of online and offline marketing and communication channels.
  • Demonstrated innovative approach and a track record of driving growth and transformation, with a deep understanding of supporter engagement.
  • Relevant leadership experience in successful change management.
  • Knowledge of and experience in fundraising, gained from within or outside the sector.
  • Genuine interest in built, natural, and cultural heritage.
