About the position

The Head of Procurement North America (NAM) for Marketing & Indirects is a strategic leadership role within the NAM market, closely connected to the Global Marketing and Indirects Procurement teams. This position is responsible for shaping global strategies and driving execution in the market, while also being a member of the Global Procurement Leadership Team and the NAM Marketing and Innovation Leadership Team. The role involves leading a team of 15 procurement professionals to drive investment optimization across A&P and Indirects spend, ensuring budgets and execution are directed into channels that will drive growth and return for Diageo and its brands. The Head of Procurement will also focus on delivering cost and cash productivity, strengthening integration of the procurement function into the broader business, and driving improved value from Supplier and Agency partners.

Responsibilities

  • Drive investment optimization across A&P and Indirects spend.
  • Deliver cost and cash productivity across the Marketing and Indirects spend portfolio.
  • Strengthen integration of the procurement function into the broader business.
  • Bring category management excellence to planning and execution.
  • Drive improved value from Supplier and Agency partners.
  • Manage Supplier and Agency risk and compliance.
  • Align Market Procurement objectives with Global Procurement targets.
  • Establish senior relationships with external partners and strategic Suppliers & Agencies.
  • Embed Global Procurement organization model within market functions.
  • Establish a resilient Talent Plan for the Market.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years in Procurement in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading a Procurement function in an international environment.
  • Experience in change and transformation of procurement functions.
  • Broad business acumen and gravitas to interact with senior partners.
  • Skilled at building partnerships and followership with suppliers and agencies.
