About the position

Asmark Institute is looking for a Head of Product who thrives at the intersection of innovation, process, and people. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who is decisive, resourceful, and deeply curious, with a strong growth mindset. The ideal candidate will lead and contribute to the development of well-defined processes and strong cross-functional collaboration, while being proactive, humble, collaborative, organized, and curious. This position offers the opportunity to own the product function and drive real impact in delivering value.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with business goals and client needs.
  • Own the product roadmap, ensuring it supports innovation, alignment, and long-term growth.
  • Lead strategic assessments that clarify direction and accelerate progress.
  • Represent Asmark’s product leadership, owning the product relationship with stakeholders.
  • Oversee the product roadmap and development lifecycle, leading UX/UI, and collaborating closely with engineering and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Build and refine scalable, efficient processes that support clarity and accountability.
  • Stay hands-on—willing to get into the details to keep work moving.
  • Bridge the technical, design, and business teams with clear and aligned strategic direction.
  • Mentor and model high-impact cross-functional leadership across teams.
  • Leverage new technologies and data to drive smarter decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Lead, grow, and manage a team of Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Design with deep empathy for ag-sector users—ensuring products are reliable and field-ready.
  • Align development efforts with Asmark’s mission and growth goals.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to expand market share and enhance client value.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading product teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with a track record of successful product launches.
  • Solid understanding of modern software development practices (Agile).
  • Expertise in user-centered design principles (UX/UI).
  • Strong ability to translate business goals into actionable product strategies and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels and across functions.
  • Data-driven mindset, with experience measuring success and iterating based on user feedback.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements, with a problem-solving mindset and passion for creating user-first products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a software organization undergoing rapid growth or transformation.
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and experience aligning teams around quarterly goals.
  • Background in startup, scale-up, or similarly dynamic environments.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
