About the position

The position involves various administrative and support tasks within a hospitality environment. Responsibilities include cleaning guest rooms, common areas, and performing general maintenance tasks. The role requires effective communication with guests and staff, adherence to hotel policies, and a commitment to professionalism and personal effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses as required during general cleaning.
  • Dust and polish metalwork and furniture.
  • Collect soiled linens for laundering from housekeepers carts and linen closets.
  • Vacuum floors, clean bathrooms and common areas.
  • Supply own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
  • Deliver baby cribs, pillows, extra towels and miscellaneous guest requests to guest rooms.
  • Remove debris, clean driveways and garage areas.
  • Clean guest rooms.
  • Shampoo carpets using shampoo machine.
  • Strip, seal, and wax floors according to proper procedures using any safety equipment necessary.
  • Restock shelves with paper supplies and restock room cleaner caddies daily.
  • Put away all incoming supplies and deliveries.

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to accurately report information.
  • Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Must have knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
  • Must have good mathematical and computer skills.
  • High school education preferred. Relevant training and experience required.
  • Additional language ability preferred.
