About the position

The person doing this job is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost effective manner. The Educator plans, manages, delivers and evaluates continuing education and training interventions for CHMC health professionals and ancillary personnel as well as for health professionals in the corporate and outside community.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization.
  • Plan, manage, deliver and evaluate continuing education and training interventions for health professionals.
  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience in the health care field, including significant experience with clinical nursing and education.
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing required; Masters Degree in Nursing or Education preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, Fire certifications.
  • Thorough knowledge of health care field and principles of adult education and instructional design.
  • High degree of knowledge as well as clinical competence.
  • Familiarity with competency based assessment.
  • General knowledge of management theory and budgeting.
  • Excellent organizational, project and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, manage and conduct continuing professional education/training programs.
  • Skilled in communication (one-to-one and group), strong speaking/presentation and listening skills.
