As a Software Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. As a Software Engineer in one of the crews working in Capital Markets, or Risk Management, your strong programming and problem solving skills will help enhance the technology platforms and tools that are used by thousands of users. We are looking for Java full stack developers, with a particular emphasis on database management (Oracle, SQL, Hadoop); Back-end development (API) and messaging services. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. Weekly time in the Pittsburgh or Cleveland locations is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • University / college degree or a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience.
  • Strong programming and problem solving skills.
