Responsibilities

  • Champion User Experience and User Interface Design for designated projects, ensuring a seamless user journey and effectively communicating the design vision to project teams
  • Lead stakeholder and user interviews to explore business issues, as well as requirements and facilitate whiteboarding sessions to encourage creative brainstorming
  • Conduct user interviews and create personas, journey maps, site maps, and information architecture diagrams to gain a comprehensive understanding of user behavior
  • Develop user flows, task analysis matrices, wireframes, high-resolution mockups, and prototypes to clearly convey product vision
  • Manage design feedback sessions and user testing to ensure the product aligns with user expectations and needs, while strictly adhering to Tax Design System standards for consistency
  • Collaborate closely with the UI Developer to ensure the product build is accurate, user-friendly, accessible, and aligns with the initial vision, while exploring opportunities to integrate AI into the UX/UI workflow

Requirements

  • Minimum eight years of recent experience in creating intuitive, engaging, and visually captivating websites or applications that prioritize user ease
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in design, HCI, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively articulate design direction and vision
  • Proficient in using tools like Figma, FigJam, Mural, Miro, and Office 365
  • Solid grasp of backend development languages, facilitating seamless integration between design and development with a deep understanding of accessibility best practices
  • Must present an online portfolio showcasing representative work samples that highlight design prowess and creativity
