About The Position

DeVoe Cadillac is hiring a full-time Lube Technician to join our growing service team. Responsibilities As a Lube Technician, you will perform routine vehicle maintenance and assist our service team with vehicle inspections and repairs.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of automotive systems or mechanical aptitude
  • Interest in automotive repair and desire to build a career as an Automotive Technician
  • Ability to learn new service procedures, tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment
  • Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background screening
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Perform oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance
  • Complete a digital multi-point inspection (MPI) on every vehicle and record a video explaining the inspection results and recommended services for the customer
  • Inspect vehicles and test systems to ensure components are secure and operating properly
  • Check and maintain fluid levels including engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid
  • Inspect tires, check tire pressure, and rotate tires when needed
  • Install new oil filters and drain plugs during service
  • Identify potential mechanical issues and communicate findings to service advisors and technicians
  • Drive vehicles for testing and service verification when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized service bay
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently
  • Work closely with teammates to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction
