Maintenance Technician

About the position

The position involves performing installation, repair, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting on all plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment in accordance with hospital standards and policies. The role is full-time, requiring 80 hours per two-week pay period with rotating weekends and holidays. The working hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and the position is not remote. Responsibilities

• Perform installation, repair, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting on plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with hospital standards and policies.
• Demonstrate HRMC's core values in daily work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/specialized training in applicable mechanics, heating, blueprint reading, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing preferred.
• Knowledge of plant operations and systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical, medical gas, sanitation, and portable water required.
• Current valid South Dakota driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare facility.
• Additional certifications in HVAC or plumbing.
