About the position

The Brand Marketing Manager will work cross-functionally among the marketing team and broader matrix organization to support the development and execution of omni-storytelling for the Champs Sports brand. This position will work closely across the brand team, product, and marketing channels to drive cohesive, consumer-obsessed storytelling across the marketing funnel. This role is a pivotal member of the marketing team, with the goal of growing brand awareness, crafting meaningful connections with consumers to deepen brand affinity, and driving sales results. This includes Brand Strategy, Brand Planning, Marketing Communications, Innovation, Commercial Strategy, and Research. The Brand Team is the heartbeat of Champs Sports, uniquely positioned to bring cross-functional departments together to develop and execute marketing programs. This role provides an opportunity to be at the center of brand development and build omni-capability career opportunity. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a proven track record in brand management, exceptional communication and project management skills, and a passion for the athletically-inspired retail space. This position is hybrid, minimum of 3 days per week in the St Petersburg, Florida office.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies for Champs Sports, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and objectives.
  • Lead go-to-market planning including but not limited to; vendor relationships, brand partnerships, and events to drive brand awareness and increase brand loyalty.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Buying, In-Store, Dotcom, Social, Loyalty and PR to create and launch impactful brand campaigns and initiatives.
  • Utilize market research and consumer trends to identify opportunities for brand growth and differentiation.
  • Monitor and evaluate brand performance metrics, such as sales volume and customer perception, and provide insights and recommendations to exceed business expectations.
  • Partner across Marketing, Vendor and Agency functions to manage expenses to plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in marketing, advertising, brand or product management across physical and digital channels.
  • Self-starter, play-to-win mentality, creative problem solving, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and shifting between multiple projects at a given time.
  • Strong project management skills to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute various brand activities within tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey brand messages and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape to develop effective marketing campaigns.
  • Possess a strong analytical mindset and be proficient in analyzing data to identify insights, measure campaign effectiveness, and make informed recommendations for continuous improvement.
