About the position

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for its Microprocessor Business Unit. This role manages all aspects of the product life cycle and support of business development. The successful candidate will interact with customers and Microchip's field and technical teams to identify and define new product requirements. A solid understanding of semiconductor business, MPU technologies, market trends, competitive insights, and requirements is essential for this position. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing new product business cases, business plans, and positioning strategies to grow Microchip's MPU business. In addition to product development, the role involves executing new product introductions, which include pricing, forecasting & collateral development. The manager will also oversee product launches, ensuring effective positioning, customer engagement, sales and channel training, business development and the creation of press collateral in collaboration with the marketing communication team. Supporting the existing MPU portfolio and customer base is also a key responsibility, which includes securing customers through visits and enhancing web presence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the product life cycle for MPU products
  • Interact with customers and Microchip's field and technical teams to identify and define new product requirements
  • Develop a solid understanding of MPU technologies, market trends, competitive insights, and requirements
  • Create new product business cases, business plans, and positioning to grow Microchip's MPU business
  • Execute new product introductions including pricing, forecasting and collateral development
  • Oversee product launches including positioning, customer engagement, sales and channel training and press collateral with the marketing communication team
  • Support the existing MPU portfolio and customer base
  • Secure customers through customer visits, business development activities, focused web presence & collaterals development

Requirements

  • MSC or equivalent degree with 9+ years of Marketing or/and Sales experience in Semiconductor company(ies)
  • Excellent technical skills in MPUs and/or MCUs
  • Proven Product Management experience
  • Good Knowledge of embedded systems designs
  • AI (Artificial Intelligence) in embedded systems knowledge/experience is a real plus
  • Understanding semiconductor business models, manufacturing technologies, and challenges
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment across worldwide geographies
  • Excellent communication skills: presentation, writing, and listening
  • Willingness to adapt, learn, and listen
