Purpose: The Manager, Product Quality & Business Insights will lead a unified team responsible for requirements clarity, product validation, and quality execution. This unique role combines the disciplines of business analysis, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing into a single high-impact function. You will be the voice of the customer, the gatekeeper of quality, and the translator of business needs into actionable outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in lean, fast-paced environments and seeks full ownership of transforming ideas into high-quality, production-ready products.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to gather, document, and clarify business and technical requirements.
  • Convert complex business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and testable use cases.
  • Maintain strong alignment between business intent and delivered solutions.
  • Own the entire QA and UAT lifecycle, from requirements validation through final go-live certification.
  • Establish and implement test strategies that cover functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Ensure quality is integrated early and consistently throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Design and execute test plans that reflect real-world customer journeys and business workflows.
  • Lead manual and automated testing efforts across web, mobile, and backend systems.
  • Serve as the primary owner of UAT—coordinating testing with business stakeholders, facilitating feedback sessions, and managing defect triage.
  • Translate UAT feedback into actionable insights and ensure high-quality resolution before release.
  • Architect automation frameworks and develop test scripts for regression and smoke testing.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve test coverage and speed.
  • Evaluate and recommend QA tools. Lead the implementation strategy.
  • Act as a player-coach, performing hands-on work while mentoring future QA/BA talent.
  • Create and promote standardized documentation, test templates, and quality reporting dashboards.
  • Build a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and customer-first thinking.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in QA, with 1–2 years leading or managing integrated QA/UAT efforts.
  • Experience building automation frameworks and writing test scripts in JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
  • Strong background in both manual QA, automation QA, and business-focused UAT, preferably in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Hands-on experience with web/mobile testing, API testing, and data validation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices, DevOps environments, and test management platforms.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
  • Team player and relationship builder, effectively working cross-functionally and gaining consensus when needed.
  • A hands-on builder who sweats the small stuff and zooms out for big-picture alignment.
  • Product-focused: you care about real-world user journeys, not just test cases.
  • Strong communicator, team player, and problem-solver.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and excited to shape quality from the ground up.
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic.
