About the position

This role involves leading client relationships by providing expert accounting guidance, overseeing financial processes, and ensuring timely and accurate deliverables. Additionally, the position includes managing audits, tax filings, budgeting, and client onboarding while identifying opportunities for service expansion and maintaining high-quality client service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client relationships by serving as the primary contact, offering accounting guidance, and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment through mentoring, training, and active participation in meetings and departmental initiatives.
  • Evaluate and improve financial processes, manage client onboarding, and align expectations using best practices.
  • Oversee financial reporting, audits, tax filings, and fee calculations, ensuring compliance with fund documents and accounting policies.
  • Manage billing, monitor engagement economics, supervise direct reports, and identify opportunities to expand services across IQEQ segments.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in alternative investment management (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, or real estate).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and an active CPA license.
  • Deep expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting, ideally with some in-house experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements while maintaining strong attention to detail and multitasking effectively.
  • Superior leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with tools like QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, NetSuite, and Sage.
