About the position

In support of the college, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will assist the Director of Marketing and Community Relations with marketing and communications functions of the college, the implementation of the college recruitment, advertising, content creation, campaign creation, brand awareness, and various marketing plans. The Coordinator will maintain good rapport with faculty, staff, students, and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Write various types of content: press releases, emails, blog posts, articles, success stories, and social media posts.
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop content and execute campaigns targeting students, alumni, donors, media, and other audiences.
  • Create and maintain marketing campaigns (digital and traditional media)
  • Promote the College brand using social media, website, digital signage, email campaigns, direct mail, print, and radio.
  • Innovate and manage the College's use of digital, social, and traditional advertising tools and platforms.
  • Run CRM and email campaigns targeting varied audiences (e.g., prospective/current students, faculty, parents, donors, counselors).
  • Manage ongoing communications: media listings, newsletters, social media posts, email updates, etc.
  • Update digital signage, marquee, and website content.
  • Assist in creating/editing presentations and documents for events and outreach.
  • Take meeting notes and track action items to support follow-through on projects.
  • Assist with taking photos and other creative support tasks.
  • Participate in outreach efforts and give campus tours as needed.
  • Work with departments across the college to meet communications needs.
  • Serve on relevant college-wide committees.
  • Perform purchasing and other administrative tasks related to marketing.
  • Be flexible and available to handle additional responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Communications, Business or related field, required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business or related field, preferred.
