About the position

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound seeks a Marketing & Communications Manager who will be responsible for developing and implementing on-brand, mission-aligned content strategy and campaigns across all BBBSPS platforms to support agency awareness, engagement, volunteer recruitment and giving objectives. This includes digital (social media, website, email, seo/sem, etc), Print (impact reports, direct mail, event collateral) and storytelling. Additionally, this role will work directly with the CEO to drive public relations, external media relations and crisis communication as needed. The Marketing & Communications Manager may also assist with internal communication requirements and crisis communications as needed. The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for ensuring all agency messaging aligns with our values and adapts messaging accordingly.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in strategic marketing, content development, and campaign execution
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Portfolio of campaigns or branded content showing measurable impact
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Google Suite including Analytics, Ads (Ad Grant), Search, Mailchimp, WordPress, Meta (and Meta Ads), LinkedIn, and social media schedulers (e.g., Hootsuite, Later)
  • Familiarity and interest in using AI to improve marketing outcomes

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with nonprofits, especially in youth development, education, or human services
  • Success at using creative methods to build engaged online communities via social media and/or blogs/vlogs
  • Experience supporting C-suite executives with personal brand building or PR amplification
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, SEO/SEM tools, and Google Ads
  • Success in managing cross-functional campaigns and collaborating with diverse internal teams
  • Experience working with journalists, media outlets, or a PR firm
