About the position

Ethos is looking for a Marketing & Office Manager to take the reins on everything from high-impact conferences to surprise-and-delight employee experiences. You’ll be the heartbeat of our San Francisco office, keeping it humming day-to-day and shining during special events. This is a cross-collaborative role where you’ll partner closely with Marketing, People, and our Executive teams to bring Ethos to life, externally and internally. If you love crafting unforgettable moments and juggling logistics like a pro, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Be the culture champion for the San Francisco office, organizing events and advocating for how to make the workplace more engaging
  • Keep the SF office organized, tidy and running smoothly
  • Manage everything from mail and groceries to conference rooms and tech needs
  • Work with the property manager, vendors, and internal teams to make magic happen daily
  • Ensure new hires feel right at home from day one (think: desk setup, key cards, and good vibes)
  • Provide admin support to our Executive team and Chief of Staff
  • Lend a hand with board meetings, project coordination, and special projects
  • Partner with marketing and sales to build an annual external events calendar that supports pipeline and brand goals
  • Manage internal and external event logistics: venue sourcing, vendor wrangling, budgeting, booth design, on-site execution for trade shows, and post-event follow-up
  • Manage event timelines, task owners, and approvals in a formal project-management system; escalate risks early and keep stakeholders aligned
  • Manage Ethos swag for employees and partners
  • Help support employer branding through social media initiatives

Requirements

  • 3+ years planning and running everything from large-scale events to intimate gatherings
  • Budgeting chops (you’ve managed six-figure budgets without breaking a sweat)
  • Familiar with project management tools like Asana or Airtable, and design tools like Canva or Adobe
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and love keeping plates spinning
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with a 'no ball gets dropped' mentality
  • Clear, concise, and confident across channels—from emails to vendor calls
  • Ready to travel up to 20% for domestic events
  • In-office 3+ days a week

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $56,160-$93,600
  • Diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Equal opportunity employer
