About the position

Altec, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated Copywriter to join our dynamic team in Birmingham, AL. This pivotal role involves a broad range of responsibilities designed to drive our marketing efforts to new heights. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and editing copy for a variety of marketing content, both internal and external. This role requires a motivated individual with strong attention to detail, versatile writing style and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread content for internal and external communications, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and marketing materials.
• Assist in managing the editorial calendar, ensuring deadlines are met and content is aligned with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging consistency across platforms.
• Help maintain and update the company website and intranet with fresh content.
• Support the creation of presentations, reports, and other communication materials as needed.
• Conduct research to support content development and identify industry trends.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for content ideas and marketing campaigns.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field preferred, or 7 years applicable experience, or 6 years applicable experience with at least 2 years Altec experience.
• Strong writing and research skills.
• Proficiency in AP Style.
• Some travel up to 25% may be required.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Knowledge of marketing principles and practices.
