About the position

The Lincoln Center Internship Program is a paid, in-person arts administration internship designed for NYC-based undergraduate and graduate students seeking meaningful, real-world experience in the cultural sector. This program cultivates the next generation of leaders by offering hands-on work opportunities and access to professionals across the arts and culture field. As part of this program, the Audience Development Intern will support efforts that engage new and diverse communities-particularly Spanish-speaking communities-with Lincoln Center's programming and mission. This position combines general audience development support with a focus on bilingual outreach and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Audience Development team in building and maintaining community partnerships across NYC
  • Research and identify new audience segments and community-based organizations
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage underrepresented and Spanish-speaking communities
  • Build connections with Latino/Hispanic cultural organizations, media outlets, and community leaders
  • Assist with translation and localization of marketing materials and campaigns
  • Help coordinate bilingual and community events, cultural celebrations, and grassroots marketing efforts
  • Contribute to audience research, data collection, and demographic analysis
  • Support digital engagement, including social media outreach tailored to diverse audiences
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and strategy sessions with internal teams and community partners

Requirements

  • A rising college junior or senior, graduate student, or recent graduate with a background in the arts, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Based in New York City or the Greater NYC area
  • Available to work 20 hours per week from September-December 2025
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and verbal)
  • Passionate about engaging new and different audiences through the arts
  • Curious and eager to learn about arts marketing and audience development
  • Organized and skilled in time management and meeting deadlines
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiar with Monday.com and data analysis/reporting is a plus but not required
  • A self-starter who thrives in collaborative environments and is excited to contribute creative ideas
