Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategy, development and execution of strategic MarComm plans for our U.S. buildings and civil operations
  • Apply benefit and differentiator principles to marketing materials
  • Editing and/or writing clear and concise marketing content for appropriate mediums
  • Collaborate on and produce innovative marketing collateral that leverages PCL branding and influences perceptions of targeted audiences
  • Research and verify the accuracy of information
  • Planning and coordination of external market sector-focused events
  • Collaborating with MarComm team and internal subject matter experts to produce qualifications packages
  • Participating in the pursuit process, sharing valid ideas and occasionally producing proposals or presentations as needed
  • Coordination and tracking of marketing initiatives and associated results
  • Management of client lists
  • Working with minimal direction required

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or advertising
  • Minimum of three years' progressive experience in a related role either within a corporation or an agency setting
  • Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and social media strategies
  • Strong writing skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong proofreading skills
  • Minimum one year of experience with SOQ/RFQ and proposals
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a high level of organization
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Proactive, results-oriented with an ability to handle tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong knowledge and competency with InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing marketing content in the context of construction, engineering, or architecture is an asset
  • Understanding of construction terminology and delivery methods with the ability to readily grasp concepts and technical processes is also an asset
