About the position

We’re looking for a creative, detail-driven, and proactive marketing coordinator to join PJ Library®’s Subscriber Acquisition Team. This role is focused on growing the number of children subscribed to PJ Library across the U.S. and Canada. While much of the early work will focus on marketing in New York (our largest market), the role is designed to contribute to national growth strategies and help communities around the country replicate what works. This position is ideal for a highly organized marketing generalist who loves big-picture thinking and creative brainstorming as well as hands-on execution. You should be excited by everything from creating email and social media campaigns to brainstorming splashy new ideas to reach more families with young children. We’re a small but ambitious team, and this is a rare opportunity with room to grow and evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm and develop new marketing initiatives and ad campaigns that drive subscriber growth in New York, Long Island and Westchester County, particularly among families with children ages 0–2.
  • Create and manage marketing materials to engage current PJ Library subscriber families, including but not limited to email campaigns, social media, text message outreach.
  • Support growth-focused programmatic efforts by developing marketing campaigns and collateral tied to New York-based events and partnerships.
  • Draft compelling copy and graphics, ensuring all materials meet PJ Library’s high standards of quality and design.
  • Collaborate on national marketing campaigns that drive subscriber growth across North America.
  • Contribute to the development of 'playbooks' based on successful local campaigns (both in New York and around North America), enabling other communities to replicate strategies and tactics.
  • Bring creativity and curiosity to the table by exploring new marketing approaches—whether it’s testing different ad formats, partnerships, or outreach strategies.
  • Analyze results, learn from what works (and what doesn’t), and continuously refine marketing efforts to improve outcomes.
  • Be adaptable and open to shifting priorities, recognizing that not every initiative will succeed, but each presents an opportunity to learn and innovate.

Requirements

  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging, clear, and persuasive content for various channels.
  • Proficient in Canva for creating high-quality, finished graphics that align with the PJ Library brand.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • 4-6 years of professional marketing experience with a focus on digital marketing and hands-on execution.
  • Ability to create and manage campaigns from start to finish. Experience with email marketing platforms and social media management tools is a plus.
  • Strong team player who enjoys working cross-functionally with different departments.
  • A balance of creativity and a willingness to test new ideas, combined with the ability to track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Familiarity with Jewish communal lifecycle events and holidays is an asset, but not mandatory.
