Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) is a private, proprietary graduate-level healthcare university created in 1998 to help meet the nation's healthcare workforce needs. Accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), RMU offers PhD, clinical doctorate, and master's degrees, along with post-professional certificate programs. Programs are delivered through a blend of flexible online, hybrid, and on-campus residential programs. RMU seeks a creative, organized, and detail-oriented marketing coordinator to support innovative marketing initiatives that drive prospective student engagement and enrollment. The marketing coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the University's digital presence, fostering brand engagement, and supporting student recruitment through compelling storytelling and consistent online communication, with a strong focus on social media strategy and content creation. This position will play a key role on the University Marketing and Communications team by contributing to the amplification of the University's reputation and visibility throughout the University community, including prospective and current students and their families, faculty and staff, alumni, donors, public officials, current and future academic partners, and more. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to departmental efforts to grow enrollments for RMU's 24 graduate degree programs and 18 certificates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, creation, scheduling, and publishing of content across RMU's primary social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube).
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar that aligns with enrollment cycles, academic milestones, institutional initiatives, and community engagement.
  • Capture and curate high-quality photos, videos, and graphics from university events, student experiences, and faculty highlights.
  • Monitor trends and platform changes to continuously improve content effectiveness and audience reach.
  • Engage with the online community through timely responses to messages, comments, and tags.
  • Build an audience of followers across active RMU social media platforms and increase post engagements.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics; prepare monthly reports with recommendations for growth and engagement.
  • Write and edit content for a variety of marketing channels, including emails, blogs, digital ads, and landing pages.
  • Help develop and expand content library for academic units, including blog articles, news releases, podcasts, and videos.
  • Partner with program directors, faculty, and student services to identify stories and testimonials that support brand positioning and program promotion.
  • Ensure brand voice and messaging consistency across all written content.
  • Collaborate with the design team to support multimedia content creation.
  • Assist in implementing integrated marketing campaigns for academic programs and university initiatives.
  • Support recruitment and event marketing through live social coverage, promotional content, and recap media.
  • Help maintain the digital asset library, including photos, templates, brand kits, etc., and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business.
  • 1+ years of prior professional experience managing social media for a brand or organization is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience using social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging social media content.
  • Strong understanding of and interest in continuing to learn and test social media and content creation best practices.
  • Expertise in social media platforms: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube.
  • Highly organized with strong time and project management skills.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively, work independently and as part of a team, and build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/campaigns simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in photography and videography capture and editing is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva.
