About the position

The incumbent in this position is responsible for executing all aspects of promotions and special events. This includes planning and organizing all approved special events, giveaways, promotions, and tournaments, as well as executing these events to ensure guest satisfaction and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
  • Greet, socialize, and become familiar with guests to make them feel welcome.
  • Explain documentation to guests for prize claims and participation in promotions.
  • Sign up new guests for MyChoice Cards and maintain the database.
  • Explain the complimentary structure and qualification levels to guests.
  • Assist with maintenance and inventory control of marketing and promotional merchandise.
  • Open and track status of ongoing projects to meet deadlines.
  • Plan and organize special events, giveaways, promotions, and tournaments.
  • Staff registration, gift distribution, entry activation stations, and drawing ticket areas.
  • Communicate rules of promotions and events to guests.
  • Assist in executing special events, giveaways, promotions, and tournaments.
  • Communicate all special events and promotions to the property.
  • Build, test, and maintain marketing promotions each month.
  • Track marketing expenses and update department checkbooks.
  • Research, order, and monitor stock of merchandise for events.
  • Issue Purchase Orders for merchandise for events.
  • Assist in the development of collateral materials for events.
  • Oversee creative approval process for direct mail offers and invites.
  • Work with internal departments to produce in-house collateral.
  • Conduct property walkthroughs to ensure signage accuracy.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent and two months of on-the-job training or related work experience.
  • Ability to speak in front of large crowds and emcee formal events.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions for event execution.
  • Ability to use systems to read and update customer information.
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
  • Ability to stand for the majority of a 9-hour shift and move efficiently.
  • Ability to push and/or pull up to 100 lbs.
