Copy Writer - Asia Markets
Location: Greensboro, NC
Market America, a product brokerage and Internet marketing company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing, is seeking an experienced Copywriter Editor for our Creative Services Team. This role will provide materials for all areas of product marketing, with a strong focus on our Asian markets.
This role will interact with Project Management, product managers, social media writers, product writers, and web merchandisers. Writes, edits, and proofreads editorial content, advertising, sales literature, web content, packaging, labels, business and scientific articles, photo captions, and video scripts. Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
?Composes grammatically correct sentences that combine advertising/marketing and factual information to create compelling copy
?Develops effective copy for all advertising needs to ensure consistent tone and voice.
?Manages deadlines to effectively meet project requirements.
?Writes effectively for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to ensure consistent style, tone, and voice for high visibility on the worldwide web.
?Creates content suitable for social networking and digital media trends to promote company brands and engage customers based on social media marketing strategies.
?Produces relevant branded content across online and offline channels to ensure consistent tone and voice in print and on the worldwide web.
?Drafts original web-based copy for a consumer audience to create effective usability.
?Collaborates with designers, product managers, and other writers from concept through execution to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
?Collaborates with product and brand managers to identify primary target audience and specific marketing message.
?Ensures accuracy of product information and content relating to any product promotion, revising as needed, including legal and scientific claims.
?Participates in the creative development of online campaigns to realize brand strategies.
?Generates original copy to effectively maintain each brand's unique voice and to clearly differentiate company products from competitors? products.
?Edits company materials to ensure accuracy, grammatical correctness and consistency.
?Complies with company policies and procedures.
?Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience
?Bachelors degree in English, journalism, marketing, or communications.
?Two years experience in copywriting, editing, and Associated Press Style.
?Experience with Queen?s English and editing materials written by a non-native English speaker preferred.
?Experience with Asian languages or cultures a strong plus (Malaysian)
?Or combination of equivalent experience, education, and training.
Skills
?Proficient use of MS Office Products and Mac environment.
?High levels of skill in proofreading and editing a variety of content
?Skilled with writing marketing copy, with the ability to convey a message to a variety of audiences and cultures, utilizing various methods of communication.
?Above moderate to high levels of English reading, writing, and speaking; and originality.
?Moderate levels of active listening, critical thinking, monitoring, coordination, and judgment.
