Marketing Design Associate

About the position

The Marketing and Design Associate will support the Marketing & Communications Manager in enhancing the organization's marketing and branding initiatives through external communications. This role involves assisting with overall communications and creative designs including development, event and program communications, as well as contributing to the Capital Campaign communication efforts.

Responsibilities

• Utilize creative skills to produce images for cross-department projects, including emails, newsletters, print mailings, presentations, web graphics, campaign graphics, social media graphics, video content, proposals, event needs and other digital and print assets.
• Assist with FPS website management along with content and design needs.
• Assist in creating the annual report.
• Help execute capital campaign communication needs.
• Assist the Marketing Manager in planning social media posts, brainstorming new content ideas, and working within the communication plan.
• In charge of scheduling and monitoring day-to-day social media needs.
• Become the in-house expert for all messaging delivery via text and email platforms including the setup and delivery of all text messaging used by the organization.
• Ensure text communication is integrated and updated in the communication calendar.
• Lead on routine program communications, including pre-respite emails, respite schedules, and program newsletters.
• Assist in the creative development for all fundraising activities, including all print communications, donor proposals, event/annualized sponsorship packets, event signage, flyers and items as needed.
• Assist in the creative development for all digital communications including event communication via email and text, web page design, digital fundraising tools, and items as needed.
• Ensure consistency of messaging and branding across all campaigns.
• Manage fundraising platform, Classy/GoFundMe, and develop this technology platform to maximize revenue generation, donor stewardship, and follow best practices for a nonprofit organization.
• Create Classy events, donation, and P2P fundraising pages, updating them as needed.
• Assist development team members as needed with events and reporting.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and the GoFundMe representative, receiving platform updates and discussing best practices.
• Participate in training classes provided by GoFundMe to best utilize software as needed.
• Assemble pre-event and post-event communications out of Classy, including emails and texts.
• Assist event managers with day-of tasks related to event communication.

Requirements

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Proficiency with Design software such as Canva and/or Adobe Suite.
• Familiarity with Raiser's Edge and experience with Blackbaud NXT and Classy/GoFundMe preferred.
• Familiarity with and experience creating content for social media platforms such as Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, and LinkedIn.
• Familiarity with video editing software or experience.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to be a team player and assist with other staff members and events.
• Positive, team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.
