About the position

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Events Manager to oversee the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of Marketing and Sales-focused in-person events such as trade shows, conferences, and small prospect or customer gatherings. This role blends creative event design with strategic thinking to enhance our brand presence, drive business outcomes, and deliver memorable experiences for our audiences. The Manager will develop event strategies aligned to business objectives, optimize event programming, and manage event-related logistics in close cooperation with the event business owner. While the primary focus will be in-person events, occasional support for virtual events is expected. This position reports to the Senior Director, Marketing Operations and collaborates closely with Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, Creative team and other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy aligned with company goals and marketing objectives.
  • Identify target audiences and define event goals, success metrics, and KPIs to measure impact and ROI.
  • Research and recommend event opportunities that support pipeline growth, customer engagement, and brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all event touchpoints.
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor events to continuously improve the company's event approach.
  • Prepare post-event analysis and recommendations to inform future event planning and strategy.
  • Plan and manage Marketing-led events, conferences, and team gatherings from concept to completion.
  • Develop event budgets, track expenses, and manage cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate vendor, venue, and service provider selection and negotiations.
  • Oversee event logistics, including catering, audiovisual, and venue setup.
  • Create and maintain detailed event timelines and project management plans.
  • Track and analyze event metrics to report on outcomes and support ongoing improvement.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning, strategy, and execution.
  • Proven track record managing corporate events.
  • Experience developing and measuring event KPIs, metrics, and ROI.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experienced in budget management and vendor negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Events Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Event management experience at a B2B tech company.
