About the position

Auterion is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Marketing Manager, Events & Strategy to lead and execute our global event strategy and contribute to broader marketing initiatives in the defense sector, with a focus on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoys bringing marketing campaigns and partner programs to life, especially in the context of dual-use and defense technologies through impactful events and developing comprehensive marketing plans. You'll work at the intersection of marketing, product, and business development, serving as a nexus to coordinate co-marketing initiatives with UAV manufacturers, integrators, and defense contractors. Your primary focus will be on the execution and delivery of these joint marketing initiatives, thereby amplifying Auterion's visibility and awareness. Beyond events, you will collaborate closely with the wider marketing and growth team to develop and implement integrated marketing strategies. These strategies will be designed to enhance brand awareness, drive lead generation, and support overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and execute a comprehensive global event strategy, including industry expos, trade shows, conferences, and company-hosted events (e.g., webinars, workshops).
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, booth design and setup, collateral development, and promotional activities.
  • Oversee event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective execution while maximizing ROI.
  • Coordinate with sales, product, and leadership teams to define event objectives, messaging, and target audiences.
  • Develop pre- and post-event communication plans to maximize attendee engagement and lead capture.
  • Analyze event performance, generate reports, and provide recommendations for future improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of general marketing strategies and campaigns across various channels (e.g., digital marketing, content marketing, PR).
  • Collaborate with the content team to ensure event-specific and general marketing materials are aligned with brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for marketing initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers, and partners related to events and marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Progressive experience in B2B marketing, with a strong focus on event management and general marketing strategy development.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning, executing, and measuring the impact of various types of events (trade shows, conferences, webinars).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent budget management and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot), CRM systems, and project management tools (e.g., Notion, Asana).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are a significant plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
