About the position

The North Carolina Museum of Art is seeking an enthusiastic team member to be part of our wonderful organization! The Marketing Manager at the NC Museum of Art is responsible for planning and executing marketing and paid advertising campaigns that drive attendance to the Museum as a key member of the marketing communications content team. This position implements both traditional and digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Director of Marketing and Communications to create paid advertising campaigns that support integrated marketing plans for exhibitions, programming, food service, retail, and more.
  • Researching, budgeting, trafficking ads, and executing these campaigns across print, radio, TV, digital, social, and Google AdWords with extreme organization and attention to detail.
  • Tracking and optimizing campaign conversations through Google Analytics, eCommerce, and pixel and geofencing tracking.
  • Reporting on impact of earned, organic, and paid marketing drivers on overall Museum attendance and revenue, and monitoring budget throughout campaign.
  • Working closely with department videographer, communications manager, senior editor, and graphic design team to develop creative strategy for marketing campaigns, leveraging organic content development with paid campaigns.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications, research, create, and submit creative package requests to graphic design team, which serves as the creative roadmap for campaign materials, including exhibitions, fundraising events and campaigns, and programming seasons.
  • Forging and managing community partnerships to plan and execute promotional campaigns, projects, and events to support marketing goals.
  • Ensuring Museum and its brand, events, and exhibitions are represented at and in wider community conversations, festivals, and public events.
  • Connecting with key community stakeholders to further relationships in local and statewide arts, design, and urban planning communities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience developing and/or executing paid advertising campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience creating marketing campaign strategies and/or managing vendors.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, event, and/or communications project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, public affairs, media journalism, English, or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • Two years of experience in communications, public relations, or publicity work.

  • Demonstrated ability to deal tactfully with a variety of stakeholders including the public.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of Museum activities and events.
  • Demonstrated experience in a museum, fine arts, and/or performing arts.
  • Demonstrated experience in Google AdWords.
