About the position

As a Marketing Operations Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in enabling marketing and corporate communications capabilities across the organization. You will support the operational backbone of the Marketing function, bringing together processes, technology, and performance metrics to ensure efficiency, alignment, and continuous improvement. This role is highly collaborative, working across business and technology teams to identify capability gaps, inform business cases, and help guide implementation efforts that enable high-performing, insight-driven marketing. From process development and system enhancements to technical issue resolution and roadmap execution, you'll be instrumental in driving measurable value for our marketing and communications ecosystem. Responsibilities

  • Identify marketing and corporate communications capability gaps and opportunities; coordinate and facilitate conversations with business and technology to align on opportunities and timeline.
  • Gather, analyze, and define value metrics in support of business cases aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate work scope definition with cross-functional teams by identifying and documenting a business case that includes collaborating with key stakeholders including the core system or process users, business partners, technology, architecture, data teams, legal and compliance.
  • Consistently communicate and collaborate with product team members, technology, and other stakeholders for the purpose of aligning business requirements and solutions to meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the product roadmap, gather user feedback, and iterate quickly to ensure continuous delivery of valuable and relevant product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with product team members and business stakeholders to confirm desk-level procedures and process/system documents are created/updated.
  • Effectively and proactively identify marketing technology stack issues, root causes, estimated timeline for fixes and/or workarounds by being the liaison between Technology and Marketing and Corporate Communications.
  • Utilize tracking tools to ensure requirements are documented accurately with dependencies identified and that those requirements are being implemented timely based on priority and deadlines.
  • Serve as an active member in the team's scrum events including stand-ups, story refinement, backlog grooming, demos, PI Planning Events, and team retrospectives.
  • Keep informed, support, and adhere to regulations and required system upgrades to ensure systems and processes are compliant and procedures are updated.
  • Develop key communication updates to stakeholders to ensure continued alignment.
  • Monitor production support metrics of system and/or application(s) being supported to quantify defect issue occurrences, trends, and patterns, to further identify opportunities for efficiencies or enhancements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or direct and equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing and MarTech, systems administration, or related experience.
  • Adobe Experience Cloud and Microsoft.
  • Technical aptitude to learn new software quickly.
  • Experience combining technical expertise with knowledge of operational business processes, system monitoring tools, troubleshooting, and performance governance.
  • Experience in workflow management or process development of business applications or systems.
  • Ability to apply an understanding of agile methodology and utilize agile principles to benefit the organization.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate complex workflows, data, and systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify issues or inconsistencies; obtains relevant information, relates and compares data from different sources and identifies alternative solutions.
  • Skilled in agile processes and principles, including documentation of features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Familiar with principles of product development flow.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate how requirements and user stories align to business strategy.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards, accreditation standards, or guidelines including interpretation of technical specifications for data file and system upgrades.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to both technical and non-technical audiences; can translate concepts clearly and concisely to individuals and groups.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders/vendors, demonstrated through successful building of rapport, trust and established relationships.
  • Ability to partner with different business and technical areas of the company.
  • Proactive, self-starter with effective time management skills.
  • Results oriented and successful at managing changing, conflicting/multiple priorities.
