About the position

Urbn Leaf and Harborside are two of California's most iconic cannabis retail brands, known for setting industry standards in design, content, customer experience, and community engagement. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and motivated Creative Content Intern to support our marketing team in crafting compelling visual, video, photo and digital content that amplifies our brand voice. The Creative Content Intern will work closely with our Creative and Marketing teams to produce graphic, video, photo and multimedia content for a variety of marketing initiatives. This includes social media assets, promotional flyers, motion graphics, video editing, email templates, photography, and in-store signage. The ideal candidate is a visual storyteller with a passion for design, an eye for branding, and strong interest in the cannabis space.

Responsibilities

  • Design engaging graphics for social media, email campaigns, digital ads, web content, and print collateral
  • Shoot and edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and promotional content
  • Photography for various projects ranging from web content, store media, internal communications, etc.
  • Create and animate motion graphics or branded video templates
  • Collaborate on brand campaigns, product launches, and retail marketing needs
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand standards and cannabis regulations
  • Organize and maintain content libraries and digital assets
  • Support event coverage and create highlight recaps or behind-the-scenes visuals

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Film, Photography, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects) or comparable tools
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design and video work
  • Knowledge of social media trends and content formats (Reels, Stories, TikToks)
  • Experience with photography, lighting, and post-production workflows is a plus
  • Organized, creative, and able to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Passion for cannabis culture and a desire to innovate within the space
