About the position

The Performance Marketing and Personalization team at Truist seeks to deliver caring and engaging communications to clients in a timely and relevant manner, enabled by a deep understanding of those clients, their needs, and their preferences. The Marketing Performance Manager will be responsible for leading projects that deliver on core marketing objectives, with a focus on driving efficient business growth and advancing the utilization of enterprise MarTech platforms and capabilities. Collaborate with key partners across the enterprise, including other stakeholders within Marketing; LOB (product and channel); Analytics; Technology; Finance; Risk, and Operations. The role entails managing routines, building strong learning agendas and impact analyses to make a case for new marketing experiences, reporting on results, and socializing breakthrough ideas to influence and gain alignment among senior business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Build an understanding of marketing's delivery processes and how data flows from concept to execution to results, for the sake of accurate assessments and interpretations of end results.
  • Coordinate delivery of individual report packages, including dissecting information out of reports, preparation of summaries, and facilitating meetings/discussions among senior managers.
  • Assist analytical areas such as Sales & Marketing Analytics, Finance, etc. on addressing strategic challenges in the development and delivery of performance reporting.
  • Monitor marketing processes to identify risks to quality of results being reported.
  • Drive tactical actions on larger efforts such as strategic plan development and investment management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Seven years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep specialized (SME) and/or broad knowledge within the marketing (or related) discipline.
  • Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes managing a process.
  • Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure, in addition to leading a team of professionals.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.
  • Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems.
  • Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective.
  • Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.
