About the position

Works directly under the Casino General Manager and is accountable and responsible for developing and implementing a strategic written marketing plan consisting of advertising, promotions, public relations, and merchandising for all Casino operations. The manager coordinates all media strategies as well as provides creative ideas for monthly gaming promotions to generate revenue. The manager is responsible for the coordination of all special events for each Casino Department and handling all customer service issues related to the event. The manager is also responsible for developing and implementing a Casino Slots/ Players Club Marketing program, as well as long-term promotions for the continued development of a solid slot player customer foundation. The Manager will also be responsible for developing promotions to market the Casino and entertainment venues to the Mexican market. The campaign will require all advertising to be translated into Spanish and updated monthly for each marketing promotion or public relations event.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manages all marketing promotions, special events and players club for the Casino and reports directly to the General Manager/Lead Floor Manager.
  • Develops and revises the Strategic Marketing Plan of the Casino on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for review by the General Manager.
  • Provides the General Manager with a written quarterly marketing report and profit analysis.
  • Ensures the smooth implementation of the Casino Marketing Plan and all advertising, promotions, public relations and merchandising related to the plan.
  • Ensures each Casino department is provided with written details for each promotion and special events planned at the Casino or off site.
  • Place orders, maintains, and inventories all promotional products for department.
  • Provides reports detailing day-to-day tasks and duties to each department for all marketing.
  • Responsible for managing the daily, weekly, and monthly marketing promotions calendar and implementation of all marketing promotions on the gaming floor.
  • Assists in player development strategies and objectives.
  • Maintains Players Club database including player's club system.
  • Assists Players club staff on all internal promotions, events.
  • Manages the Players Club department; daily operations, employee schedules, evaluations, disciplinary actions and timekeeping.

Requirements

  • Must have Computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Office Professional software, graphic design software, and be able to work with software/hardware designed for the Casino Players Club database.
  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing.
  • Must be able to obtain a license through the Arizona Department of Gaming and the Cocopah Tribal Gaming Office.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals, and provide creative ideas for the Marketing Plan and gaming department promotions.
  • Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the Marketing Department.
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Ability to operate a handheld radio.
  • Ability to stand and walk for at least 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
