Job Description:
-Client is seeking a Marketing Consultant Professional - IV
-SEO Consultant - Greater NYC metro area
Responsibilities:
-The client is looking for an exceptionally talented SEO strategist to help create and drive the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) day-to-day tactical execution of SEO strategies, including keyword research, code analysis and optimization, and opportunity analysis.
-Analyze and monitor the backlink profile for the client's website and associated properties. Ensure the backlink profile is clean.
-Perform site level optimization for the client's website and associated properties. Recommend content, linking and keyword changes based on the analysis to ensure the website complies with SEO best practices.
-Partners with cross-functional teams to drive SEO initiatives, including Global SEO, Ecommerce, User Experience, Digital Marketing, Web Marketing, Product Management and IT
-Perform technical level optimization for the client's website and associated properties.
-Perform on-going keyword research for the client's website and associated properties as needed.
-Monitor industry trends and changes in SEO to help identify new opportunities for the company.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-6+ years' experience in digital marketing with SEO as the primary function
-Expert understanding of SEO strategies, search term research, keyword targeting, and technical obstacles that would hinder search engine bot crawling and indexing and SEO editorial best practices
-Expert skills in developing effective keyword targeting strategy, prioritizing SEO initiatives, and executing on planned SEO tactics. Must provide work samples or case studies of successful execution of SEO tactics and/or other digital marketing initiatives that have led to increases in website traffic
-Seasoned multi-tasker who can deliver under tight deadlines and fast pace
-Expert knowledge of optimizing websites for major search engines; including how HTML, Javascript and site architecture impact search rankings
-Strong experience with third-party enterprise SEO tools and Omniture/Site Catalyst web metrics preferred
-Success in optimizing large web sites with content management publishing systems a plus
-Can be located in the Greater New York City Metro area. Our offices are in Piscataway, NJ, but we do allow exceptional contractors to work from home 3-4 days per week. Also, we have an office in the financial district of NYC. Note that there will need to be much travel to Piscataway for the first couple of weeks.
