Marketing Program ManagerDate: May 20, 2017Location: , Company: HARMAN International Req ID: 97924Marketing Program ManagerLocation: Novi, MI Position Description HARMAN is seeking a talented professional to lead, develop and grow our event marketing and to assist with demand generation activities within our automotive business segment. This position is responsible for building the overall pipeline for our direct and channel sales teams by planning, development and execution of targeted marketing events and activities. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in the creation and execution of effective and innovative approaches to marketing campaigns within the automotive industry. This individual will drive multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on a consistent basis. In this role, you will have responsibility for target segment event marketing execution strategy. The right candidate will have extensive experience marketing technology, software or software-as-a-service (SaaS) or cloud-based platforms with a B2B focus, while using a solution selling approach. The ideal candidate thrives on a fast-paced environment and can make quick decisions. Major Responsibilities
Research, plan and execute targeted events that include but are not limited to field events, tech days, Industry events/tradeshows, executive roundtables, etc.
Work cross-functionally across the marketing organization to oversee the timely execution of demand generation and field marketing plans, aligning with product marketing on content plans.
Manage relevant agencies and 3rd parties in the execution of events and campaigns.
Oversee and drive demand generation and field marketing activities to support HARMAN Automotive Connected Services revenue objectives growing existing and acquiring new customers and channel partners in the automotive industry.
Ensure alignment with corporate digital/demand generation programs.
Understand complex buying/selling processes involving multiple decision-makers for software and services purchases and channels to meet them at.
Ensure effective and efficient two-way communication between HARMAN Automotive marketing and sales teams.How You'll Stand Out:
4 or more years related marketing experience, preferably in software marketing, SaaS, Cloud or related technology.
High-level of enthusiasm for developing creative marketing approaches in the automotive industry.
Experience managing the creation and execution of effective and innovative demand generation campaigns and events.
Experience managing the creation of marketing programs and/or materials that promote technology solutions to end-users and channel partners.
In-depth knowledge of various sales models (including working with channel partners). Strong understanding and use of marketing analytics to make informed decisions.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
Strong people management skills.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proven experience communicating with all levels of management.
CRM (Salesforce.com) and Marketing Automation tool experience strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree required.
