About the position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Marketing Project Manager in Richmond, Virginia. The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for intaking, creating processes, overseeing, and coordinating all aspects of marketing campaigns and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with overall marketing goals. The individual in this role acts as the gatekeeper for the marketing team, managing project scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables. The Marketing Project Manager enables marketing workstreams to support the company's objectives of sales, market share growth, profitability, and visibility, in alignment with corporate strategy and supporting the business units.

Responsibilities

  • Intake, create processes, oversee, and coordinate all aspects of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Ensure marketing campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with overall marketing goals.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for the marketing team, managing project scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Enable marketing workstreams to support the company's objectives of sales, market share growth, profitability, and visibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years' experience in project management on creative teams or agency.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficient in marketing automation platforms, customer relationship management systems, analytics tools, and project management software.
  • Deep understanding of marketing tactics that make the biggest business impact.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven team management capabilities.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to engage in effective and persuasive discussions with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong PC skills and adaptability to changing technology.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight trips.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
