About the position

Under general supervision, manage the sales marketing, business capture and proposal process by leading the field sales and solutions SMEs through the entire opportunity lifecycle. This includes partnering with our sales and solutions teams at the opportunity discovery, solution alignment, pre- and post-RFx/proposal/sales messaging activities involving client-facing interaction, sales strategy, sales messaging, data analytics, pricing strategy, market analysis, oral presentation and coaching. This role will play a critical role in the pursuit and capture of profitable business.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the full understanding of the customer requirements, work with marketing, sales and solutions partners to define the win strategy, then taking that information outline, author, perform quality assurance review, edit and format proposals for new revenue/revenue protection opportunities-with emphasis and priority to enterprise, major, vertical and strategic accounts.
  • Analyze client's business requirements, information/materials received and determine win themes and solution strategy that yields the greatest win probability.
  • Review, verify and evaluate cost estimates to assure agreement with proposed solution/strategy, client specifications and any internal assumptions.
  • Identify all necessary information gather from client interaction and/or materials to be included in the proposal and ensure the timeliness of required information from field representative(s) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Through opportunity discovery, alignment and submittal, present to customers on behalf of the Firm.
  • Review and assess opportunities for nonstandard service requests using knowledge of our business, along with input from field partners, SMEs and executive leadership.
  • Participate at the lead generation, business development and strategy stage of our opportunity capture.
  • Drive strategy sessions between marketing, sales and subject matter experts to ensure a clear solution and value is provided to our customers.
  • Delivering services and solutions-based messaging with our solutions partners for both proactive business pursuits and RFx requests.
  • Partner with marketing, sales and sales leadership to pipeline business development and build appropriate sales messaging for proactive pursuits.
  • Drive the creation of new and compelling sales content/graphics that align to a winning proposal strategy.
  • Discover and manage the use of innovative and creative tools that improve messaging quality, speed and impact.
  • Support sales partners with development and successful acquisition of new revenue/revenue protection opportunities.
  • Coordinate production and delivery of proposal documents, including, but not limited to printing, binding, and/or other media creation.
  • Contribute to and coordinate pricing strategy, development, review and approval with Finance team.
  • Research industry trends and best practices to guide the Proposal Services team to continual improvement efforts.
  • Research competitors to guide sales team in development of proposal win strategy/themes.
  • Perform competitive intelligence gathering at the Firm and engagement level to bolster business win probability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Marketing or other communication related field.
  • Four or more years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Proficient personal computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Outlook).
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment.
