Marketing Research Analyst Job Description
Marketing Research Analyst. Our Columbus, Ohio client is currently seeking a LOCAL contractor for the role of Marketing Research Analyst who will support the Search Marketing Manager with search marketing channels and programs including paid search advertising, natural search engine optimization (SEO), product listing ads, and comparison shopping engines. In this individual contributor role, this person will work closely with cross-functional partners serving as the subject matter expert on a high profile technology project in addition to providing support for search marketing programs and campaigns.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as subject matter expert on Domestic Order Management System (DOMS) project and support roll-out of Content Management System by:
* Serve as SME for all SEO related questions from the project and business teams
* Participate in DOMS project meetings and represent Digital Marketing team
* Stay apprised of DOMS system changes, status and timelines
* Accurately interpret and effectively communicate how the system changes will impact Digital Marketing programs
* Create SEO requirements and acceptance criteria for content management system (CMS), product management system, and other systems as needed in collaboration with the Digital Platform and Technology team
* Assist with testing and troubleshooting SEO project tasks to ensure that technical solutions solve for the identified requirements
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners across the business as well as third-party vendors throughout execution
* Support execution of search marketing programs and campaigns. Interpret customer acquisition and retention strategies, communicate expectations with cross-functional partners, manage deliverables, and ensure deadlines are met
* Assist in the creation of search marketing reports including weekly dashboard reports, campaign reports, and seasonal reports
* Other responsibilities as assigned

Marketing Research Analyst Job Requirements
* Experience with delivering results through search marketing including paid search and SEO with a solid understanding of search engine ranking factors, algorithms, and principles
* Experience in digital marketing, email marketing, e-commerce, media planning, analytics or other related areas
* Strong working knowledge of digital marketing channels such as paid search, SEO, affiliates, display advertising, social media, mobile, and email
* Interest in digital media and drive to learn and master new skills
* Ability to work with agility and flexibility in a fast-paced environment and a dynamic, rapidly-evolving organization
* Passion and energy to stay current on the latest digital marketing trends and influence innovation
* Identify new opportunities within paid search and SEO supporting key business objectives
* Excellent analytical skills. Experience in providing financial analysis and presenting information
* Ability to work cross functionally and build strong relationships with agency partners
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
* 3-5 years of experience in marketing within an agency or retail organization
* Hands on experience managing digital marketing programs, operations, and/or execution
* Familiarity with digital platforms and technology (e.g. data feeds, tag management, Tealium, ad serving, DoubleClick, Schema micro-data, CMS, HTML, Google AdWords, Google Webmaster Tools)
* Familiarity with digital marketing analysis techniques and reporting (e.g. dashboard reports, Coremetrics)
* Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field required
