About the position

We are hiring immediately for a full time MARKETING SPECIALIST position at Babson College. The Marketing Specialist will report directly to the Marketing Manager and will hold duties related to sales and marketing. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task on various projects simultaneously, and accurate distribution of pertinent information both internally to all departments as well as to clients and related vendors. The role involves hands-on support at events, database management, and preparing marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage engaging social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) to boost audience interaction
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Campus Dining managers to support merchandising and marketing initiatives
  • Assist with Dining Operations to create engaging Special Events for Retail, Residential, Catering
  • Create and distribute print media to promote retail sales, event attendance, and engagement
  • Hands-on support at events, unit set up, program implementation
  • Database management
  • Coordinate content needed for marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate field marketing requests and activities
  • Work within provided budgets and guidelines
  • Assist with presentations and proposals
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with field managers
  • Work with vendors and agencies
  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Maintain promotional inventory, fulfillment

Requirements

  • 2 years of social media marketing experience is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with Canva, Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and CMS systems a plus
  • Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven team environment and adjust to changing priorities
  • AS in Marketing or business-related field

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum one-year prior experience in marketing or social media management
  • Background or interest in hospitality/food
  • Flexible schedule, evenings/weekends and possible travel required
